Public/Private Partnership Targets Saving of $750,000 Per Year

Imagitas, a leading marketing solutions firm, today announced the New York Department of Motor Vehicles has selected Imagitas' DriverSource program. Under terms of the agreement, Imagitas will redesign the state's registration renewal package, helping the DMV to cut costs by directing drivers to less expensive renewal channels and by including DMV-approved advertising. Imagitas adheres to strict privacy regulations. No driver information is shared with advertisers. New York is the third state to partner with Imagitas for its registration renewals. The departments of motor vehicles in Minnesota and Massachusetts have similar partnerships with Imagitas.
"The New York DMV has sought out innovative ways to cut costs while improving customer service, and the Imagitas program has been an excellent example of such an initiative," said Kenneth W. Rose, director of program analysis and data services, New York Department of Motor Vehicles.
Imagitas will redesign the state's registration-renewal package to include easier-to-use renewal forms and an information guide detailing the most efficient ways to renew, such as online, by telephone or by mail. Imagitas will also identify private-sector partners - such as auto manufacturers - to help underwrite the cost of the renewal process. All advertisers are subject to approval by the New York DMV.
