BOSTON - August 16, 2004
Imagitas, a leading marketing solutions firm, today announced The Home Depot, the world's largest home improvement retailer, has signed a three-year agreement to become the home improvement retail advertiser in the MoverSource program. MoverSource, offered through an alliance between the U.S. Postal Service and Imagitas, provides an official Change of Address Form along with helpful information and valuable coupons, to the millions of U.S. residents that move each year.
"Participation in the USPS' MoverSource program, coupled with our new Web site for movers (www.homedepotmoving.com), ensures that The Home Depot will reach the 43.5 million people who move each year with the home improvement solutions they need," said John Costello, executive vice president, Merchandising and Marketing for The Home Depot. "These new initiatives are a great opportunity to help consumers attain the home of their dreams while building our brand." "We're very pleased about The Home Depot's partnership with Imagitas," said Kevin McCarthy, SVP, Sales of Imagitas. "We look forward to working with them to provide valuable offers to movers at the time when they can benefit from them the most."
The MoverSource program makes the official change-of-address and notification process easier for consumers and businesses. It includes The MoversGuide, The MoversGuide Online, and The Welcome Kit. The MoversGuide includes a change of address form and information kits with helpful savings on moving-related products and services; The MoversGuide Online helps people process a change of address, and access moving information and coupons over the Web; and The Welcome Kit, mailed to each new home, contains local information such as how to register to vote, the names of local officials, and national and local savings. To protect customer privacy, the Postal Service does not provide customer information or addresses to MoverSource advertisers. Marketing these products allows The Home Depot to deliver valuable information to consumers before and right after their move dates.
